Do We Need to Ping a Blog After Commenting?
Others would say this is one is probably one of the most noobiest questions to answer, but heck.. is Pinging a Blog Really Necessary After Leaving a Comment?
Blog Commenting is one of the most important way to build your links outta way. Whether it’s a ‘nofollow’ or a ‘dofollow’ blog setup, either of them could benefit you back.
Okay, let’s say you left a comment on a post from a dofollow blog but that entry was way back in the 2007. So, it was not been updated for over 3 years or so and you are aware that your comment cannot be noticed by the spiders or something.
Alright, want you want to do is to ensure that your comment is being tracked by the spiders and letting them know that you had engraved something with your link on it. By ‘Pinging a Blog‘, the spiders would notice that something has been recently updated and so as to it.
As for WordPress.com Blogs, most of them are nofollow blogs – meaning they don’t pass pagerank no matter how high their pr is, whatsoever, you still get a link and other readers might check it as well. WordPress blogs automatically pings some listings so you don’t need to ping it optionally in some cases.
Pinging services are: pingomatic, pingler and pingoat.

i think it is hard to build a web page so when you get it all done you want everyone to see it and that is why the more links you have out the better it is.
