What is a sales lead?
Hey, before jumping out into the joy, let’s first have a look at what a sales lead is according to the Wikipedia.
[ad#Google Adsense]
A sales lead is the individuality of a person that is possibly or potentially interested in purchasing a service or product, and comprises the first stage of a sales process. The lead could be a corporation or business associated with the person(s). Sales leads derive from either marketing lead propagation processes such as advertising, direct marketing and Internet marketing or from sales person prospecting activities such as cold
calling.
Whenever a sales lead finally makes a purchase, this is called conversion and a closed sale. The ratio of sales leads that convert is often denoted to
as the conversion rate, a way to measure the potency of a sales process, sales team, or sales person.
Getting sales leads is a lot easier than you think but still needs luck (of course)
This method is somewhat ‘classic’ but still, the great chances are there.
- setup time is just a matter of minutes
- free
- targeted leads
- do it over and over with any niche
Obviously, the method that we will try to input is the use of Twitter. Everybody knows that Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users’ updates known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length which are displayed on the user’s profile page and delivered to other users who have subscribed to them (known as followers).
Ok, so you need to create another account depending or whatever niche or affiliate program or anything you want the hell out of it to sell, to have leads, etc.
Just go to http://twitter.com and click “Get started – join” button.
Alright, so after creating a new account, setup your details and change the background and add some few biography details so you won’t look a noob, oh.. I mean a bot.
Ok, the true power of this method is simply by using the search engine in twitter.
http://search.twitter.com
Enter a search phrase in your niche. In this example I would like to target ‘get rid of acne’.
The search returns the last 15 tweets on “get rid of acne.”
And then you can scroll down at the bottom and you can press the older link and you will get the previous 15 tweets about what you have searched.
Twitter saves the last 100 pages – in you don’t want to press the older
link 99 times – just change the “..&page=99” in the url.
Now all you have to do is reply on the tweets and get into a dialog – so, as easy as that.
- You can also sign up for a tweetlater account and manage your welcome message by adding up some intro message + your links.
- You can replace the picture of your profile to the image of the product that you are endorsing/promoting.
- Be a normal tweet people, only post links once every 8 tweets or so. For example the first 7 tweets you make say stuff like “going to my girlfriend’s house,” “running to the store to get some refreshments” and etc… whatever you have to do to make it sound like your a real person.

Was searching for new SEO innovations when I found this one. Interesting, but do you think it has a long shelf life?
