Many people use a “blog” as a source of income and is also a good way of earning some money online. But not all of them is successful. Even if they have google adsense and sorts of advertisements on their blog, yet still, it’s worthless. Because they don’t know the most nearest correct way, or they might don’t know what they are doing. But you can be successful if you will follow these basic steps on how to wage your blog. A lot of  bloggers have started on these basic principles before becoming successful in this journey of blogging and money.

• First of all, choose a blog platform. Blogger, WordPress, whatever you feel but these two is the most famous of all brand. Though Blogger (Blogspot blogs) is the Google’s Sweet Child (which I notice to get indexed much faster), WordPress (self-hosted) is much more way better although you have to pay for hosting and your own domain name. • If you can get a web-server/web-hosting to host your blog then it will be better.  There’s a HUGE difference between http://ijstyles.blogspot.com and http://ijstyles.com. From integrity, professionalism and search engine related stuffs, it really does vary.

• So ask yourself, why do you need to blog? If it is only for personal. Then this is not a stuff for you, but if your purpose is to get an income. Then we continue…

• Alright, the main foundation to earn an income through blogging is this – NO TRAFFIC – NO INCOME.

• Find a hot niche that you can blog about. Any subjects that you feel you’re an expert, interests, places, hobbies, sport, games, personal stuffs like relationships and dating, I mean there’s tons of niches to blog about.  But perhaps, my suggestion is to find a hot niche that is popular or it could be a seasonal niche.

• If you will create a blog, we should make it sure that it will produce or generate good traffic.

• Thousands of bloggers will tell you that “Content is the KING,” so you should write quality contents.  Because if your blog has nice and informative contents, then people will come and visit your blog and return for more learning. But HEY! For me, it’s not all about the contents and good articles if you don’t know how to SEO and market it very well. I’ve seen and visited many blogs that has extremely nice articles but is becoming deteriorated due to the fact that it has no visitors and readers. Hence, everything is always a combination – so it’s about your Awesome  Contents + Cool Marketing of Your Contents.
  

• Join google adsense and other affiliate networks like Clickbank, CJ, Amazon and put advertisements in your blog. If someone clicks the ads, or if someone buys the product through your link, then that’s it – you gain commission and make income as well.
  

• The most important is to get a traffic to your blog. HOW? WEB 2.0, exchanging links, joining forums, link signatures,  submission to search engines and directories, article submission and syndication.

I know from the start that these are only the basics and I know that you already know the stuffs I’ve mentioned above but these are proven techniques.

Earning money through blogging takes time. This is not an overnight system. You must be patient. Just work and out, rinse and repeat the steps that works for you.
