SEO Madness | Google to Penalize All Link Building

I have read an article somewhere but just can’t remember about the stoppage or considering of Google to penalize all the link building activities – even the clean white hat methods.

Of course, everybody knows the technical terms of Google services or Webmaster’s Guidelines that whoever tries to manipulate (probably black hat methods) search engines or search engine’s results page(s) and stuffs then you are due to violate the rules and probably get penalized – (deindex, loss of page rank, low search engine rankings and etc).

Other’s say there’s a peak limit for every link building you do in a period of time, say 150 or less per month for us to stay clean and safe. Maybe this was also the reason for having my blog to lost it’s page rank as well as the low ranking position on SERPS. By the time I established this blog, I was aggressively doing a link farm and building like blog commenting, link directory submissions, article syndication, and forum siggies. For some reasons, Akismet marked me as a spammer. (ouch!) : (

The death of SEO was a boom before up until now. The problem is, Google doesn’t tell whether the bookmarks on a web 2.0 sites are organic or published by a webmaster.

In anyway, I think the whole point of ’search engine optimization’ is to play the GAME of the system, it’s by knowing how the search engines rank the sites and then setting up your site to match those. Things like domain age may have become more important because age is one of the things you can’t manipulate, but that still doesn’t stop a gamer from buying aged domains.

In whatever reason it is, Google is still dependent on the backlinks and backlinks – the way in which it evaluates backlinks may become more sophisticated, but as long as the BIG G relies on them, SEO’s will be able to find a way to game the system.

Im sorry but even the mighty Google isnt clever enough to spot white had links and organic links… the solution would be to kill all link relationships and focus on on page stuff but then you get people spamming and jamming there too…

They are slowly seeming to discount and devalue very single kind of link, its going to take a while before linking is weakened as part of the search ranking factors – not sure where we will end up long term on this one.

It should be noted that Google usually penalizes only automatically submitted links. Thus I would recommend people manual link building methods only.

Personally, I do about 100 incoming links for my hosting blog per month. My SERPs have been increased throughout all the time. My results are getting better and better today. Simply continue to do what you did, I mean blog commenting, link directory submissions, article syndication, and forum siggies. The results will exceed all your expectations.

I read this and the other day I read that google is not paying much attention to Page rank either. What are google doing?, it seems that in the rush to beat the competitors live and yahoo they are running around like headless chickens throwing all sorts of ridiculous ideas into the frying pan. How about just leaving things as they are and stop messing webmasters and bloggers around.
