Visit my link here”? I mean seriously, we should not be blatant with our bookmarks and we should get the point.

The thing is, we must write our bookmarks as if we have nothing to do with that site. We should pretend that we are just like someone who happened to dropped by on that site and enjoyed the content, appreciated and definitely bookmark it. We can act as like a third party who really does not know anything about the owner of that blog or website. Say something like “I was looking for ______ and I was stumbled-upon when I came across this site. It has some really great tips about _______ and I found it to be very useful.” Not to be these exact words but it should sound like it has something that is very helpful or enjoyable.

An average person would happen to click on the second one because it is more appealing natural and sounds more interesting. If you happen to click on the sales pitched link then there is something that is not right with you or you just want to compete for something.

Alright, to gain more traffic – we must make sure our bookmark appears to be from like a third party and not the owner of that link that promotes the website. The second essential part you should do to harness more traffic from a bookmark is to use a title that is ‘catchy’ to people’s sight. The headline is the most part that people were rolling for when they are visiting a social bookmarking site. We should not have a boring title that would not interest anyone’s attention. Say we are promoting Bookmarking Demon, and we had a written review page about it and you are now bookmarking that page. We should not have a title of bookmark to be “Bookmarking Demon Review” or “Review of the BMD,” instead it should be something eye-catchy. Being unique and adding some creativity by simply inserting some descriptive words and adjective can be look much better, like  “In-Depth Review of Bookmarking Demon SEO Software” is more interesting than “Bookmarking Demon Review”.

There are many ways to do an eye-catching title or headline, we just have do something out of it. Make it stand out a little bit from other bookmarks by using some psychological words or terms that will attract people to read it!.

This thing often occurs, and can be very drastic when combined with other linking methods. However, for ranking low competition keywords, (a proper) bookmarks can make your keywords to rank higher and you could possibly dominate the first pages of Google for that keyword.
