My Blog Has Visitors, Will I Ever Need SEO?
Well you may want to consider this first, there are countless number of websites and blogs that are competing to be at the top of the search engine results pages. If your blog is not optimized, it will be on something like page 10 of your niche. I think nowadays, if you want to blog and earn money as well, you really need to learn SEO. It’s a bit surprising how many bloggers and site owners are out there, who are lagging behind just because their websites are not optimized for SEO. There has been recent studies conducted in the net movements of users of search engines. The results clearly show that users hardly even click past the first page because they already find what they want on the very first page of the search results. This simply means that unless your blog dominates the first two pages of the search engine results, you will be invisible to most internet users. A competitor of yours is getting all the targetted traffic and making all the leads or sales, just because his blog and website are optimized for search engines.
We know that On-Page and Off-Page are the two kinds of SEO. On Page SEO is optimization of each page of your website with carefully selected keywords and key phrases. One essential thing to mention is that for a search engine bot to even consider your page for listing, you will be needing a good design and carefully selected keywords. Doing SEO is not only done once for the whole site but also separately for each and every page. Search engines consider the pages of a site individually for the words and phrases that have been typed in the search box. They do not list the entire site. Off Page SEO is a process that works best with On Page SEO. Now that your pages, each and every one of them, are optimized for search engines and you are regularly getting listed in the top two pages of your niche, you would need to enhance the results. For that you need Off Page SEO in the form of back links. You have to realize that every link that your blog gets is a vote of authority for your blog. The search engine interprets these links as a proof that your blog is an authority in your niche. So you need to work hard at building those backlinks. Each of these backlinks helps you to get first page ranking.
